Rules For Acey-Deucy

The object of the game is to bring all of your game pieces onto the playing board by rolling the dice and moving game pieces to other end of game board and removing game pieces from game board according to roll of dice . The first player to remove all game pieces before opponent is the winner.

Each opponent will roll one die each to determine who moves first. 1 or “ acey “ is highest number beating all other numbers. High dice has option of taking that roll or roll both dice to start game.

Moves are made to according to numbers on dice. Each player will roll dice and bring pieces onto game board. When and how to bring onto game board or move will be learned by playing a couple of times. All pieces do not have to be on game board before advancing a piece. If a player rolls doubles, player would move as if they rolled 4 of that number.

Example: say the dice were a 5 and a 5 player would move 5 spaces 4 times. Should a player roll a 1 and a 2, that's Acey-Deucy which is wild dice. Player will move 1 and 2 and then gets to choose doubles of their choice, and then roll again. Player must complete move of 1 and 2 before doubles are used, if player can not complete roll, then turn is forfeited. Should a player happen to roll 3 back to back Acey-Deucy, then that player loses game.

If a player has 2 pieces on 1 spot, opponent can not use that spot to advance. This is called a “block”. Should an opponent have only 1 piece on 1 spot, opponent can use this spot to advance and also “ kick “ opponents piece back to starting point, to be placed in designated “ kicked “ spot. This piece MUST be brought back onto the game board at starting point before any other pieces can be moved. If piece can not get back onto game board by roll of dice, then move is forfeited to opponent.

Removal of game pieces from game board occurs when a player has all of their game pieces in the last 6 spaces of the game board. Pieces are removed according to roll of the dice. If no piece is on a spot that dice roll, then remove game piece from next lower spot. Should an opponent be “ kicked” while removing game pieces that “kicked “ piece has to come back on at the start and reach into last 6 spots before any other game pieces can be removed. First player to remove all game pieces before opponent is the winner.

Learning is easy, mastering takes play time. There are so many possibilities of the outcome of the game that it is never the same game twice. This is one of possibly a few games where you can be seriously behind, but with a couple of Acey-Deucy's as wild dice, can come right back and win the game.

All 15 pieces must be in the last six spaces before you can start to remove them.
